Oh yes, I am proud to say that they are MY melons, that I grew in the backyard. The months of hard labor my dad and I did produced fruit, which then produced another fruit - this painting.

Acrylic on Matte board.

wow, this is beautiful! Even better in full view, because you can see all the textures. :-) This is making me want watermelon-- too bad there won't be any decent ones in the store until summer. (Wah!-- now they will be all pasty and nasty!) The bright watermelon half against the dark background is gorgeous. ^.^
