You have to cross your eyes until you see three images. The middle image is the one that will be in 3D. Let your eyes relax until the middle image comes into focus.

Church. This is a hyper stereograph because the two photos are several feet apart.

the whole point is to cross your eyes and slowly focus on the middle picture, it will become 3D

There is differences in the images. They're not the same image. The shadow in the buttress is hidden on the right image so the shot is taken five or so feet to our left. Maybe this helps?
